California Junior Scholarship Federation

  California Junior Scholarship Federation

The California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) emphasizes high standards of scholarship and community service for California junior high and middle school students.

Founded in 1967, the California Junior Scholarship Federation is part of CSF, the oldest scholarship institution in the state of California and one of the most prestigious honor societies in the state.  Parras Middle School is very proud to have an active chapter of the California Junior Scholarship Federation where students get to work together to improve the community they live in, as well as to spend time with other like minded students who have similar post secondary education aspirations.  The goal of CJSF at Parras Middle School is to provide members with opportunities to give back to their community through community service projects.  In addition, an emphasis is placed on academic excellence.  To this end, students are given the opportunity to visit two local area universities each year and are exposed to university admissions information that is geared toward middle school aged students.   CJSF students begin early on to plan for their academic future and CJSF is designed to help guide students along the way.
