Parras Middle School is lucky enough to have two and a half counselors.  The student population is divided into caseloads based on the first letter of the student's last name.  Counselors are in Monday-Friday from 7:40 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

A-K:  Rachel Andrews
Hi!  I'm Rachel Andrews and this is my ninth year at Parras Middle School.  I work with students whose last name starts with A-K.  I have my Masters Degree in Counseling and Pupil & Personnel Services Credential from Loyola Marymount University, and I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara.  I also have my GATE Certification from University of California, Irvine.  My hobbies include going to concerts, watching movies, spending time with friends, cooking, reading, volunteering, canyoneering, playing with my dog, and being outdoors.  Please feel free to email me at RAndrews@rbusd.org or call me at (310) 798-8616 ext 3712.

Curriculum Counselor: Ashley MacDonald

 

Hello! I’m Ashley MacDonald and I am thrilled to join Parras Middle School as a Curriculum Counselor running the Project ALERT drug prevention program for 7th and 8th grade students. I have my Masters Degree in Education & Human Development with an emphasis in School Counseling from The George Washington University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Spanish from UC Santa Barbara, and I also hold a Pupil Personnel Service Credential in School Counseling. My hobbies include spending time with friends and family, reading, traveling and going for long walks on the weekend with my husband, daughter and dog.  I am at Parras on Mondays, Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays and at Adams Thursdays, Fridays and alternating Wednesdays.
