Dear Parras Parents,

Our Parras e-News is sent via e-mail to all our Parras Families on a weekly basis.  In an effort to keep all of you informed about schedules, activities, PTSA News and important events taking place at our school, we need you to send in your information.

Here are some helpful tips for registration:
1) You must register on line with district (don't go in under your student's log in) if you can print it out and bring it then it goes faster. If you didn't, that's ok because we will get a list.


2) School forms such as cell phone policy and field trip. We really need these for the school. They are Parras specific. 


3) Join PTSA and all donations welcome!! 
 The following enrichment programs are paid for entirely by the PTSA:
Art Literacy - Hands On Art education taught to all students throughout the year.
Assemblies - Various speakers and performers are brought to the school. 
Reflections - A National PTA arts recognition program.  All students are invited to participate.
Grade Level Events - PTSA helps pay for special events specifically for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students.


4) School Agendas available for purchase and teachers use them in Advisement to help your student.


5) School Hall locks (don't need them if returning and still have them)


6) Spiritwear!! Check out our new styles and you can pre-order this year! Click here for the Parras Spiritwear store - Spiritwear


7) Yearbook (only online, do at home or at registration on computers)


8) ASB dance passes for sale 
This year at registration when you pay just $15.00 for all four after school parties you can go to one party for free.  


9) School supply pick up, help support AVID while avoiding the store!


10) Volunteer table/ Hands On Art


11) PE clothes (don't need them unless your student grew over the summer or if they are new, same gym lock too if returning)


12) School pictures (have your child prepared) it is their ID picture for the year as well as school picture

Pre-orders for picture packages may now be placed online at using your school's access key provided here *|4CMFXXJ5|*. Online pre-orders using your school's access key are available up to 4 days after picture day.


13) Proceed to library to pick up chrome books and text books


14) RBEF donation table 
Music: Middle School vocal music enrichment programs
Sports: Intramural Sports for middle school
College Readiness: College field trips for middle school students | College readiness parent education | Early participation college aptitude tests | Teacher grant for innovative approaches to promote college readiness



Please help us with 2017 - 2018 School Registration on the following days:
Tuesday Aug. 22- 8th grade
Wednesday Aug. 23 - 7th grade
Thursday Aug. 24 - 6th grade
Late registration is Aug. 30, 2017

Don't forget:
First day of school is Wednesday Aug. 30, 2017
